Cleaning a window until it's streak-free, how long does it take?![]() Per window, it typically take's an experienced window cleaner from 3 to 10 minutes. Of course, the size of the window, how dirty it his, and how elevated the window is off the ground are the three major factors are in determining how long it will take before the surface of the glass is free of streaks. Also keep in mind that this is only pertaining to the exterior side of the window. You can double time time from 3 to 10 minutes per window to 6 to 20 if you also clean the interior side. We're also not including the time it takes for the window cleaner to move their ladder from window to window or move their supplies from room to room if cleaning interior windows. And we never move onto the next window until the one we're currently washing is streak-free and spotless. If a window is at ground level and doesn't require being on a ladder or wearing a harness, and it's small or medium-sized, it can take as little as 3 minutes for a professional to clean. An amateur might take up to 5 or 6 minutes. Anything more than this and the technique should be adjusted to make the process faster. Different window cleaning companies will wash windows differently and this also results in a wider range of time needed to complete each window. On average, 3 to 10 minutes can be expected. |
