cleaning your own windows
There are a few reasons why someone might choose to clean their own home exterior windows rather than hiring professionals in Victoria, BC.
  • The cost : Cleaning your own windows can be less expensive than hiring professionals.
  • The control : Cleaning your own windows allows you to have control over the process and ensure that it is done to your own personal satisfaction, although professionals may clean spots you might never notice as part of their duty.
  • The convenience : Cleaning your own windows allows you to do it on your own schedule, rather than having to coordinate with a professional cleaning service.
  • Your privacy : Some people may prefer to clean their own windows to maintain privacy and security.
  • If it's safe : If you have a one-story home or a window cleaning ladder, cleaning your own windows might be safe to attempt alone without professional equipment.
It is important to note that if you have high windows or hard-to-reach areas of the exterior of your home, it is safer and more efficient to hire a professional window cleaner to do the job safely.

What is the average cost of window cleaning in Victoria, BC?

Short answer: For a two-storey residential home in Victoria the average cost of window cleaning service is $250.
WEE WINDOW CLEANING

Long answer: The cost of window cleaning, not only in Victoria BC but anywhere in Canada, highly depends on many variables. Such variables include: how many storeys the home or building has; whether the client wants a quote for interior window cleaning as well as exterior window cleaning; how many windows there are on the house or commercial building; how dirty the windows are which determines the time needed to clean them; how high up the windows are which determines what kind of equipment we need to use.

Considering all these variables, we can expect a window cleaning cost to range from anywhere between $120 to $1,000. And, of course, a strata or mall could be even more. To explain further, a one-storey house with all the windows on ground-level could cost as little as $120, including interior window cleaning. However, a five-storey commercial building with hundreds of large windows could cost as much as $800 or more.

Rest assured, though, that after you get a quote from Wee Window Cleaning there will be no surprises after the job is done. We stay true to our cost estimates, and they include all the costs, from the setup to the final cleanup. We offer all our quotes for free, so if you really want to know what the cost of your window cleaning service would be in Victoria feel free to call (250) 800-3664 for a friendly cost estimate.

How Long Does It Take To Clean A Window Till It's Streak Free

Cleaning a window until it's streak-free, how long does it take?

how long it take to clean each window
Per window, it typically take's an experienced window cleaner from 3 to 10 minutes. Of course, the size of the window, how dirty it his, and how elevated the window is off the ground are the three major factors are in determining how long it will take before the surface of the glass is free of streaks. Also keep in mind that this is only pertaining to the exterior side of the window. You can double time time from 3 to 10 minutes per window to 6 to 20 if you also clean the interior side. We're also not including the time it takes for the window cleaner to move their ladder from window to window or move their supplies from room to room if cleaning interior windows. And we never move onto the next window until the one we're currently washing is streak-free and spotless.

If a window is at ground level and doesn't require being on a ladder or wearing a harness, and it's small or medium-sized, it can take as little as 3 minutes for a professional to clean. An amateur might take up to 5 or 6 minutes. Anything more than this and the technique should be adjusted to make the process faster. Different window cleaning companies will wash windows differently and this also results in a wider range of time needed to complete each window. On average, 3 to 10 minutes can be expected.
